Fun for one, or when you're having a gang over. Set out toasted
sauce-and-cheese-topped English-muffin halves and bowls of "faces and hair" and get
plenty of giggles in return.
For each face you need:
1 sandwich-size English-muffin half, toasted
1/4 cup spaghetti sauce (from a jar)
1 slice yellow and/or white American cheese
And 1 or more of each of these:
Hair: shredded cheese, carrots or alfalfa sprouts
Eyes: sliced black olives, carrot, celery and scallions
Nose: halved cucumber slices, cherry tomatoes
Mouth: red bell-pepper strips, radish wedges
Teeth: corn kernels
1. Spread sauce on muffin half. Top with cheese. Broil in toaster oven or under oven
broiler until cheese melts.
2. Add hair and facial features.
SUN TEA. Fill a large plastic jar (with a lid) with water and enough tea bags to make a
strong brew. Place in direct sunlight either on a windowsill or outside. As the sun heats
the water, the tea will steep. After several hours, it will be ready. Just add lemon slices
and serve over ice.
