Linguine With Clam Sauce

2 Tb. margarine
1 small clove garlic, finely chopped
1 Tb. flour
1 cup clam juice
1/4 cup chopped parsley
pepper to taste
1/2 tsp. dried thyme
1 cup minced clams, fresh or canned
dash of tabasco

In a saucepan, heat the margarine.  Add the garlic and cook for one minute over moderate
heat.  Stir in the flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.  Add the the clam juice
until thickened.

Add the parsley, pepper and thyme.  Simmer gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. 
Add minced clams and cook only until clams are heated.  Add dash of tabasco for a zing.

Serve over 1 pound cooked linguine.

Yield  6 servings
