* SIZE: Design, 5" x 5 1/4", 70 x 74 stitches. * YOU'LL NEED: 12" square
of 14-count white Aida cloth; DMC Six-Strand Embroidery Floss, 1 skein
each of 13 DMC colors; tapestry needle; embroidery hoop.

1. Fold fabric in half each way to crease center lines; baste along lines. 

2. Using 2 strands floss, embroider design in cross-stitch, following color chart. 
Each square on chart = 1 square on fabric. Work each stitch  over 1 square. 
Be sure to cross all stitches in same direction throughout. 

3. Use 1 strand brown to outline face, hands and legs in backstitch. Use 2 strands
gold to backstitch along words. Work each backstitch over one square on fabric.
