Subj: Deviled Swiss Steak From: EBWATERS DEVILED SWISS STEAK 2 tablespoon flour 1 tablespoon dry mustard 1/2 teaspoon pepper 2 tablespoons oil 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 cup beef broth (may have to add more as steak cooks) 1 1/2 to 2 pounds bottom round steak 1/2 pound sliced mushrooms Mix flour, mustard, and pepper and pound into both sides of beef. Brown in the oil. Add Worcestershire sauce and beef broth and simmer 2 1/2 hours. Add mushrooms and cook for an additional 1/2 hour. |
