Doris McFatridge's CHOCOLATE-CHERRY DUMP CAKE

Prep: 5 min Cook: 50 min Total Cost: $5.41

Doris loves this four-ingredient pantry dessert because there are no bowls to
wash--everything gets dumped right into the baking dish. It's good served warm with
whipped topping or ice cream. Feel free to try other flavor combinations such as spice
cake and apple-pie filling.

 1 box (about 18 ounces) chocolate cake mix
 1 can (12 ounces) skimmed evaporated milk (not sweetened condensed)
 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
 1/4 cup walnuts, chopped

1. Heat oven to 350 F. Coat a 13x9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

2. Stir cake mix and evaporated milk in a bowl just until mix is moistened. Spread in
prepared pan. Pour pie filling evenly over top (most fruit will sink).

3. Bake 30 minutes. Sprinkle with walnuts and bake 20 minutes longer until nuts are
toasted.

* Serves 12. Per serving: 387 cal, 7 g pro, 52 g car, 17 g fat, 54 mg chol, 417 mg sod.
Exchanges: 2 starch/bread, 1 fruit, 3 1/2 fat
