Strawberry Topping

INGREDIENTS FOR 8 SERVINGS:
4 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 cup red currant jelly
2 tablespoons water

INSTRUCTIONS:
Combine strawberries and sugar; let stand 30 minutes. Combine jelly and water in a
small saucepan; place over low heat. Cook, stirring until jelly melts. Remove from heat;
stir in strawberry mixture. Spoon mixture into a bowl; cover and chill. Yield: 4 cups
(serving size: 1/2 cup).

      Title: Strawberry-Orange Milk Shake

      Yield: 2 servings

1 c  Sliced strawberries
1/2    Banana, peeled and sliced
1 c  Orange juice
1/2 c  Buttermilk

Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and process until smoothly blended. Pour
the shake into 2 tall glasses and serve.

      Title: STRAWBERRY SYRUP

10 oz Strawberries-pkg frozen sliced thawed
1/2 c  Light corn syrup
1 ds Salt
 
In blender; process strawberries until smooth.  In a pan, bring all ingredients to a boil
and boil gently for 5 min., stirring constantly. Yield:  1 1/2 c. syrup   




       Title: Simple Strawberry Cobbler

      Servings:  6

4 c  Sliced fresh Strawberries                
1 c  All purpose Flour
1/2 ts Baking Powder                            
1 c  Sugar
Egg, beaten                            
1/4 c  Butter or margarine
Whipped topping, or vanilla ice cream
  

Spread strawberries over bottom of greased 8 or 9" square baking pan. Stir together flour,
baking powder, and sugar in a bowl.  Add egg, mix with fork until crumbly.  Spread over
berries.  Dot with small pieces of butter or margarine.  Bake at 375 deg F for 45-50
minutes. Serve warm with whipped cream topping, or ice cream.

  NOTE: 4 cups frozen unsweetened berry slices may be used instead of fresh.
