Word Selector

Up Uncertain The downturned right 'V' hand straddles the index finger edge of the left 'B' hand, whose palm faces right. The right hand sways slightly, from left to right.
Up Uncle The right 'U' hand is held near the right temple and shaken slightly.
Up Under
(underneath, below)
The right hand, in the 'A' position, thumb pointing straight up, moves down under the left hand, held outstretched, fingers together, palm down.
Up Understand The right 'S' hand is placed on the forehead, palm facing the body. The index finger suddenly flicks up into the 'D' position.
Up Union
Both 'U' hands, touching, with palms out, move in a circle until they touch again, with palms now facing in.
Up Universe The right 'U' hand, palm out, makes a clockwise circle around the left 'S' hand, representing a planet.
Up Unnecessary The downturned curved index finger is thrust down and then the hand opens with a flourish to the palm-up position.
Up Until The extended right index finger moves forward slowly and comes to rest on the tip of the extended, upturned left index finger.

The extended right index finger moves forward slowly and comes to rest on the tip of the extended, upturned left index finger.
Up Upset The downturned open right hand is positioned horizontally across the stomach. It flips over so that it is now palm up.
Up Urge
(encourage, motivate)
Both '5' hands are held, palms out, the right fingers facing right and the left fingers left. The hands move straight forward in a series of short movements.
Up Us The right 'U' hand, palm facing the body, swings from right shoulder to left shoulder.
Up Use
The right 'U' hand, palm facing forward, makes small clockwise circles.
Up Use up The right 'C' hand, palm facing left, is placed on the upturned left hand. The right hand, moving right, quickly leaves the left, while closing into a fist.
Up Us two
(both of us)
The right 'V' hand, palm up and fingers pointing left, is swung in and out to and from the chest.
